Ask AI
Ask AI is a high-context assistant built into your Help Centre. It delivers fast, relevant answers to your customers, powered entirely by the knowledge base articles your team has written.
Customers can self-serve naturally, and when Ask AI reaches its limit, it'll pass the baton to your team with full context.
How it works
When customers navigate to your Help Center, they will be able to ask questions to Ask AI and the bot will generate an answer using your knowledge base articles.
If your customer isn't satisifed with the answer, they can type 'Talk to a human,' or click the 'Continue with a Human' button at the top right corner, which will prompt the user to submit a create a support request.
The support request is instantly created in your Plain workspace with full context of how your customer interacted with the bot, so you can pick up exactly where it left off.
The Ask AI feature will only read information that you have published in your Plain Knowledge Base.

Every interaction with Ask AI is logged behind the scenes, so your team can review its performance and identify where customers are getting stuck or where documentation can be improved.
In this initial release, Ask AI doesn’t retain conversation history across sessions or support multi-step dialogues. Each question is handled independently to keep answers focused and reliable.
